Deb moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1993 to finish schooling and never left. Coming from a military family, she had always wanted permanent roots somewhere. She volunteered with local arts organizations and worked for the Province of British Columbia, Always curious about belonging and why we do what we do, Deb obtained degrees in Theatre (1996) and Sociology (2014) through the University of Victoria, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University (2024).
In her spare time, Deb enjoys walking, Crossfit, reading, and canoe paddling when the opportunity arises, She currently lives in Victoria with her husband James.
